My clients trust in my ability to help them pick the Best clothes, wear the Right Make-up and help design the best Hair styles in order to achieve the perfect look and image.
My father was a Silent Screen comedian, and the Love of the theater is in my blood as well. As a young kid, I used to Visit my Dad on Sound Stages and really enjoyed the Behind the Scenes activity as the crew would build Sets and ready the Cameras to enable the Actors to perform. This is what drove me to the Creative set design that I now incorporate in my work. My subjects like a environment or stage to perform in, real or perhaps a imaginary.
In the last ten years I have made a transition from shooting with film to the world of Digital. This is a huge asset in that we can see immediately our creative work, E Mail images, Retouch readily. This transition has been a motivating force that has opened up new ways to be creative and make People look even better. Plus, along with the advent of Digital Photography came Adobe® Photoshop®, which has helped me enormously improve the retouching process here at the Studio.
Even though I really enjoy photographing on location, I always have had wonderful Studios to work in. I recently acquired this perfect Studio space in Los Angeles and have a new inspiration at this location. The Studio is close to many restaurants and photo Prop Houses, and we are almost in the Heart of Hollywood. I have a Team of wonderful Fashion Stylists, Make-up and Hair and Camera assistants. The Studio is very roomy and has a very comfortable private dressing room with lighting and mirrors, good air-conditioning and ample parking available.
The Studio is ‘ State of the Art ‘, on the ground floor, and is very easy to find.

CELEBRITY PHOTOGRAPHER HARRY LANGDON CHOSEN BY HOLLYWOOD CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE TO SHOOT HISTORICAL PHOTO OF WALK OF FAMERS ATTENDING HOLLYWOOD
WALK OF FAME 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Langdon’s Movie Star Father Harry Langdon Was One of the Original 1,500
Stars Placed on the Iconic Sidewalk
Hollywood, Ca – ( Dateline )The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has chosen
celebrity photographer Harry Langdon to be the official photographer for
the upcoming Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame 50th Celebration which will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in the
Grand Ballroom of Hollywood & Highland. All of the living celebrities on
the Walk of Fame have been invited to participate in the festivities and
will gather for this once in a life-time historic photo that Langdon has
been busily preparing for since before his selection to participate.
Leron Gubler, President/CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce stated,
“We are excited to have a celebrity photographer of the stature of Harry
Langdon, who also has a personal connection with the Walk of Fame.”
In a career that has spanned over 40 years in Hollywood, staying fresh
in a very competitive field is what keeps Harry among the top commercial
and glamour photographers in the world. The namesake son of a famous silent screen comedian, Langdon grew up
backstage in the theater. His father left Harry a legacy of Hollywood
imagination and fantasy. The senior Langdon’s films include: There He
Goes (1925), Fiddlesticks (1926), The Strong Man (1926) and Tramp, Tramp, Tramp (1926) written by Frank Capra.
Eventually Harry discovered his own creativity was not in from of the
camera like his father, but behind it. Photography became the vehicle
to his own fame and fortune. He apprenticed with many fashion
photographers and obtained his first studio at age 29. His first
commercial clients were Max Factor and Ann-Margret, as well as the
legendary Diana Ross.
According to Harry, creativity is important, but a large part of success
is due to his enthusiasm for his own career. He always works to capture
on film the images that portray his clients at their best. He
constantly researches the limits of what is happening today, not only in
the photography realm, but also in fashion, music and film. By going to
the theatre, art galleries, museums and movies to do research and get
new inspiration, he has a constant turnover of creativity and ideas.
Langdon gets ideas from such diverse sources at the Internet, music
videos on cable, and science shows on television.
The routine of capturing an image on film is easy. The difference comes
when the photographer assumes the responsibility for his art. Over the
years, Langdon has photographed countless famous (and infamous) cultural
icons including, Danielle Steele, Judith Krantz, Stan Lee and Arnold
Schwarzenegger. He has also photographed film stars such as Sophia
Loren, Jamie Fox, Halle Berry, George Clooney, Ridley Scott, Anjelica
Huston, Susan Sarandon and Tony Curtis.
Television star shoots included: Cher, Tyra Banks, Ryan Seacrest,
Christina Applegate and Vanessa Williams. Other famous faces include,
Lee Iacocca, Steve Wynn, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson,
Tina Turner, Sean Diddy Combs, and Donna Summers. Many of the stars
listed are Walk of Famers as well.
Athletes seen in his lens include: Peggy Fleming, Martina Navratilova,
Oscar De La Hoya and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. The best images are the ones
in which the photographer can immortalize the energy of his subject.
The photo that can convey a sense of spirit, give a glimpse of the true
character of the subject is the photo defined as art and defines the
photographer as a true artist.
Langdon stated, “I am beyond thrilled that I am able to participate in
such a historical event and have great pride in the fact that my father
was one of the original Walk of Famers in what is one of the most
historical landmarks in California. My father’s star is located in front
of another Hollywood icon, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre where many of his
films were screened.” Harry Langdon has just opened up a new studio in the heart of Hollywood
and is enjoying new inspiration and is busier than ever.
In addition to the exclusive photo, the evening’s festivities include a
6:30 p.m. historic dedication of a Walk of Fame time capsule and the
unveiling of its plaque which will then lead into the festivities
catered by Wolfgang Puck at 7:30 p.m. Cirque Du Soleil will captivate
guests with performers and much more. Major sponsors of the event
include: L’Oreal Paris, Entertainment Tonight and Heineken.
